Do you have to hand in a term paper at the end of the semester, but don’t know how to find a topic and find it difficult to motivate yourself to work? Are you struggling to find literature and once you have a text, reading it is a challenge?

You know the rough structure of a term paper: introduction, main body, conclusion. But what do these text sections actually do? What about other components such as the list of figures, bibliography and glossary and how do you format the whole thing correctly?

This workshop supports you in the production of your term paper(s) and shows you the Technics Department of academic papers.

“Thank you even more for the informative, exciting and very helpful course yesterday. You worked very individually and precisely with us and that helped me tremendously. I sorted my thoughts first thing this morning at 7 a.m. and I’m sitting at work!:)”

There are various reasons why your program of study may develop differently from the standard degree plan. This is often due to the intended adaptation of the course sequence to individual needs. Sometimes, however, students fall behind unintentionally. Examinations are postponed and pile up, which can put a lot of pressure on you. If you are facing a final module examination after several unsuccessful attempts or your JoGuStINe profile has relatively few credit points, we will send you a small, automatically generated info email once at the end of each semester with an offer to talk to you. The offer is not obligatory and advising is of course confidential and independent of the institution.

Apart from SoWi?So! advice services and the academic advising of your subject, there are useful advice centers at JGU ready to help you:
