This summer school explores peace efforts related to the war in Ukraine from political, legal, civil society, and cultural perspectives. Bringing together participants from across Europe \u2013 including Ukraine and the United Kingdom \u2013 this Summer School creates a unique space for European dialogue, academic exchange, and reflection on peace and Europe\u2019s future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open to students from Johannes Gutenberg University, our 8 FORTHEM partner universities (in Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania and Spain), students from Cardiff University (UK), and students from universities across Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Day 1 \/ 07.09.: Welcome Session and Introduction to the Historical Context and Contemporary Challenges and Welcome Gathering in the Evening<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 2 \/ 08.09.: Academic Sessions on Political and Military Action: Managing Conflicts and Fostering Peace; Roundtable discussion with Experts working in the field<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3 \/ 09.09.: Academic Sessions on Legal and Informational Action: Transitional Justice; Workshops with Experts and Practitioners; Joint Dinner in the Evening<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 4 \/ 10.09.: Academic Sessions on Social and Cultural Action: Civil Society Responses; Workshops with Experts and Practitioners<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 5 \/ 11.09.: Mini-Conference of student proposals for Peace<\/p>\n\n\n<\/jgu-base-accordionitem>\n\n\n \n\n
