Being able to move confidently on the international stage and competently present research results or teaching content in English are key skills for all academics: Academic exchange, networking and collaboration across national borders are of central importance for outstanding research and teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the certificate for international teaching competence<\/strong>, lecturers and junior academics at Faculty 02 Social Sciences, Media and Sport can have their expertise in international university teaching recognized.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

In order to receive the certificate, candidates must provide evidence of further training in the areas of intercultural communication and English language skills, as well as document a wide range of experience in international university teaching.\nFinally, candidates reflect on their international teaching skills on the basis of their teaching experience and findings from the further training courses. <\/p>\n\n

Advice and application for the certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In order to receive the certificate, please send all the necessary evidence (confirmation of participation in further training courses and a list of the required teaching experience with the title, date and location of the events or lectures) together with the final reflection to: sowiso@uni-mainz.de<\/a><\/p>\n\n

We would also be happy to advise you personally on suitable further education opportunities, funding opportunities, possibilities for extra-curricular courses in English at the department and participation in the CRiSS lecture series.<\/p>\n\n
