International organizations, think tanks, foundations and companies are popular employers of choice for prospective social scientists. A confident appearance in an international context is also a success factor for an academic career.
Students and exchange students of the FB02 begin their strategic international career planning in this certificate program that accompanies their studies. They receive professional advising and network with employees from international organizations and companies and learn about international career paths. Through professional training, students develop important soft skills such as intercultural communication or presenting in English. In English-language courses with international topics, language proficiency is deepened, the professional profile is sharpened and international teamwork skills are promoted.
With a certificate of international competence, students can document their acquired skills and experience in their application documents.
This is what our graduate Nathalia says about ICP:
“I would absolutely recommend this class, and the broader SoWi?So! certificate program in International Competence to all JGU students. If you’re interested in gaining exposure to diverse career fields around the world, improving your networking skills, and expanding your professional network, then this course is right for you!”
